WT Group is expanding its operations and is currently recruiting experienced Emergency CCTV Control Room Operators to strengthen its security and monitoring services across South Africa. Job Overview
As an Emergency CCTV Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring live surveillance systems, responding to alarms, managing incidents, and maintaining clear communication with clients and response teams. The role requires attention to detail, strong computer skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
This is a shift-based position, including day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and VMS platforms in real time
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate incident logs and reports
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal response teams
- Follow control room protocols and security procedures at all times
- Escalate incidents according to company guidelines
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational standards
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Valid PSIRA Grade C
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking – client-facing role)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a control room environment within the safety and security industry
- Practical experience with:CCTV systems, VMS platforms, Alarm systems, OBs (occurrence books)
- Proven experience in daily client communication
- Willingness and availability to work rotational shifts (day and night, Monday to Sunday)
- South African citizen with a valid South African ID
- Computer literate (MS WordOutlookIntermediate PC skills)
- Ability to pass language and computer competency tests
Additional Consideration
Applicants with call centre or retail experience may also be considered, provided they demonstrate relevant control room or security-related experience.
