Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following:

• Grade 12 (National Certificate)
• Code EC (Code 14) driver’s license with a valid PrDP
• Minimum 3 years’ experience driving an Ultra heavy vehicle
• Minimum 3 years’ experience driving a Superlink / Interlink / combination
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques
• Understand emergency & defect reporting procedures
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and operate a fire extinguisher
• Knowledge of loading and offloading techniques
• Must have reliable transport to and from work
• Clean criminal record
• Must be medically fit

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Preparing the vehicle for trips and operating ultra-heavy duty vehicles
• Loading, transporting, and offloading goods/vehicles safely
• Handling required driving documentation and additional duties
• Following supervisor instructions and meeting contract requirements
• Maintaining a safe driving record and protecting company assets
• Ensuring housekeeping of vehicles, uniform, and PPE
• Promoting and adhering to SOPs and safety procedures

You must also be willing to complete the following processes if selected:

• Medical evaluation
• USCS training modules
• Induction processes
• Practical driving evaluation
• Verification of a clean criminal record
