Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this Security Officer vacancy, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Valid PSIRA Grade C certificate
- Minimum 1 year experience in the security industry
- Must be based in Tembisa or surrounding areas
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work day and night shifts
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Must be reliable, disciplined, and alert at all times
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out general security duties, including but not limited to:
- Access control and monitoring of entry and exit points
- Patrolling assigned areas to prevent theft, damage, or illegal activities
- Monitoring CCTV systems where applicable
- Reporting incidents, suspicious activities, and security breaches
- Ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets
- Enforcing company and site security procedures
- Working closely with supervisors and control room personnel
- Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times
This position requires individuals who can work under pressure, follow instructions accurately, and respond effectively to emergency situations.
