Job Description
Vector Logistics is looking for a skilled and reliable Ultra-Heavy Vehicle Driver (Code 14) to join their operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of vehicle care and road safety.
This role requires a driver who understands long-distance and heavy-load operations, including proper loading and offloading techniques, and someone who is committed to following company procedures and safety regulations at all times.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s license
- Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Minimum 3 years experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
- At least 3 years experience with superlink/interlink combinations
- Strong understanding of defensive driving techniques
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays
- Must have own reliable transport
- Clean criminal record
- Medically fit
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As an Ultra-Heavy Vehicle Driver at Vector Logistics, your duties will include:
- Operating ultra-heavy vehicles safely and efficiently
- Preparing the vehicle before trips and ensuring it is roadworthy
- Transporting, loading, and offloading goods correctly
- Handling all required trip documentation accurately
- Reporting emergencies, defects, and incidents immediately
- Performing vehicle inspections and ensuring proper maintenance
- Following all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and safety regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, uniform, and PPE
- Working flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
