Key Responsibilities
- Control access at hotel entrances and visitor reception points.
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the hotel, parking areas, and restricted zones.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activity where applicable.
- Record incidents accurately using the electronic occurrence book system.
- Assist hotel guests and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Work closely with hotel management during daily operations.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, alarms, and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure all security procedures are followed according to company standards.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Valid PSIRA Grade C Certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ security experience
- Hotel or hospitality security experience will be an advantage
- Clean criminal record
- Own reliable transport to Constantia
- Physically fit and capable of working long shifts
- Sober habits
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Additional languages will be advantageous
- Basic computer literacy
- Experience with electronic occurrence books and access control systems
- Zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use while on duty
