JOB PURPOSE:
To drive company trucks and fulfill scheduled collections and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must have ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must have five years of truck driving experience
- Must have knowledge of safety, health, and working practices
- Valid Code 10/Code C driver’s license
- Must have good communication and problem-solving skills
- Defensive driving and forklift license (advantageous)
- Strong road signage and defensive driving knowledge
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform weekly refuse removal schedule
- Collect and deliver goods/materials to various locations
- Load/unload materials
- Complete daily vehicle checklist and driving regulations
