Job Overview: Event Security Officers
As an Event Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining safety protocols, monitoring entry and exit points, and assisting with crowd management during busy and high-traffic events. You will work closely with supervisors and event organisers to ensure every part of the venue remains secure.

Key Responsibilities
1) Access Control & Entry Monitoring
- Monitor and control entrance and exit points
- Verify authorised access for staff, performers, and visitors
- Prevent unauthorised entry and suspicious activity
2) Crowd Control & Crowd Management
- Help maintain order in high-traffic areas
- Manage crowd movements to prevent incident
- Respond quickly to overcrowding or disruption
3) Patrols & Surveillance
- Conduct regular foot patrols around the event venu
- Monitor security equipment and surveillance areas when needed
- Report any unusual behaviour or security risks
4) Incident Response & Emergency Support
- Act as first line of response for emergencies (medical, fire, security breaches)
- Provide accurate incident reports to supervisors
- Assist in calming situations and supporting venue safety procedures
5) Customer Service & Visitor Assistance
- Provide friendly and professional guidance to visitors
- Help guests with venue directions and safety rules
- Maintain a respectful and helpful attitude during the event
Minimum Requirements

- Valid PSIRA Certificate (Required)Grade 10 or higher
- At least 2 years of experience in event or corporate security (preferred)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Physically fit (standing and walking for long periods during events)
