Duties and Responsibilities
Successful Security Officers may be responsible for:
- Monitoring and controlling the entry and exit of employees, visitors and vehicles.
- Conducting regular foot patrols around designated areas.
- Checking doors, windows, exits and other access points to ensure premises remain secure.
- Monitoring CCTV surveillance systems and identifying unusual or suspicious activities.
- Operating security communication equipment where required.
- Responding quickly and professionally to alarms and security incidents.
- Investigating suspicious individuals, activities or potential security breaches.
- Assisting employees, visitors or members of the public who may be in distress.
- Helping prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access and other unlawful activities.
- Maintaining accurate security reports and recording incidents when required
Minimum Requirements
